I've ran my buddies 00 sxr when my viper was stock only had a 51/45 helix and v-force reeds. I could pull him from bottom to top no problem. I weighed 145 hes close to 200 lbs. A piped sxr against a srx i'd say the srx would pull it the whole way also..but an sxr with head gasket mod, pipes, clutching and proper jetting will probably not be far behind the srx (stock).
I've got an 00 SXR with SLP pipes, clutching and head gasket mod and I run side by side with 98 and 99 SRX's. I get torn up by the 00 and newer.
Hey BB, how would your setup run against a stock Viper?

Vipers are fast sleds......I could keep up all day long on top end runs, but low end torque....my father would beat me off the get go..
With the pipes on a SXr, its no competition against a stock viper. The viper will make more power with pipes than the non-PV motor. I forgot to mention the 98 and 99 SRX's I run with are both long traveled front and rear. Now before I had pipes I ran the head gasket mod with the stock pipe w/ different jetting(141.3s and 143.8mag) and clutching and was dead even with a stock viper repeatedly.
Thanks for the info guys, at least I know where I'll fit in the pack now.

On the grass in 500ft. I beat srx's with my piped sx 700 all day long.
Hey SNOW... we'll see once the lake freezes up. I'm just hopeing I can keep up with your piped SXR. I'd be kidding myself if I thought I was going to touch your ported SRX with my stock Viper. LOL. Anyway, with highs in the +'s all week, it's going to be a while before we can tell for sure.
PS - You still can't deny my old Polaris XLT will take your speedy SRX in a 1000 foot race..... LOL ..... on open water!

The 02's must have been slow. My stock 04 hit 90 mph on the dream meter in about 400 feet.

you have to take in to account track spin.

Dont know why this would be, stock motor/clutching is all the same.

I was there guys.
Trust me, that viper has wayyy more in it than that. For one, the track was garbage, about a 10" of snow in a cornfield. Another, is the radar they had was one of those squared off box deals, couldn't get an accurate reading to save its batteries!!!!!!! That same thing came up with some 99mph runs then about the next run from same sled would be 50!!!! Lets get on the ice this winter, or even dirt for that matter and see what that stock srx does......
