SRX Big Bore..99 or 00 on up

I have been thinking about doing a big bore as I still am not ready to go 4 stroke. Right now I have a 99 SRX. I am wondering if the Big Bore on a 99 would be just as fast as it would on a 00 and up. I just don't know how much that ignition helps. Thanks for any opinions.

I been told with the porting you can get more power out of the 98-99 srx's then the 00and up.
