I"Ve had AC and Polaris coats in the past 2 or 3 or each and couldn"t complain other than the price. I went to a Choko Jacket last season because I really didn"t like any of the Yamaha coats or colors. I was very pleased with the Choko brand. Good fit and very warm. Spent time unzipping a few times. Put 2400 miles on my jacket last season in verying weather conditions and would recommmend Choko. Coldwave makes some very nice looking jackets also. I not into sled brand jackets anymore just want something that looks good and keeps me warm.
FXR makes alot of Yamaha's stuff.
I got a FXR X-Cross Jacket, best coat I ever own.
Plenty warm for ice fishing and lots of pockets and vents and looks great as well.

Klim is the best and the most expensive. Water proof, wind proof, but breathable.
Tough as nails best warrenty out there. It must be worn with layers, not warm by its self. Great pockets and ventilation openings for warmer days. I use my jacket on rainy days when fishing and allways stay dry. Very comfortable and easy to move around in

I've been wearing Cold wave for the last 4 winters. Good looking, warm (almost too warm) with lots of vents and removable liner, tough too! Because I sweat like a pig when I ride, which then makes me cold, I'm looking into a layer system like KLIM this year. I've always thought FXR stuff is solid as well.

I won't ride without my "Batman" suit and socks.

As long as I have a good wind breaker I am all set. I still wear a Coldwave leather coat when it is real cold but with only a long sleeve tee and the suit. Gone are the days of sweatshirts and bulk.
Most days it is a pair of shorts and a tee shirt, leather jacket with no liner and Gore-tex bibs from Cabela's.

Put a portable heater in front of you while your ice fishing. Your snowmobile suit is designed to keep you warm while riding not ICE FISHING.
I have had snowsuits ( big and bulky and very ulgy ) for ice fishing...The Wawa ice fishish derby -25 to -35 with 30 - 40mph winds for 8 hours didn't get cold but couldn't steer the sled because the suit was so bulky.. LOL So I am wondering if these new suits ( thin ) will hold up to the cold like they say they wil, from what I am reading I shouldn't have a problem...

Gore-tex is the secret. I sweat easy like allvipedup does, but with Gore-tex you stay dry!!!. Ckeck out Klims site for outerwear/midwear/underwear. Even if you go with a diferent product, klims layering clothing is priced right and works great for wisking away your sweat.

I like ice fishing too. But, I usually wear Carharts for that and Coldwave suit for snowmobiling. Plus I work on Lake St. Clair everyday winter or summer outdoors.
Just went out to recreation leisure and bought the Nitro Coat and Nitro Bib combo for 169.00 out the door great gear very very comfortable regular price was 210.00. I was also tryin on some of the choko stuff. The Choko was a lot thicker and seemed a bit warmer but not as comfortable compared to the Nitro. With the nitro I could move around real easy and was very comfortable to sit. Hey Sandmanmike what do you wear under your Nitro bibs on a cold day? I was thinkin just my addidas nylon pants!!!!
