This came friday, just as I was leaving for work. Ironically, it snowed overnight....like 2 cm's
I am so ready to feel the difference....my stock track has 13,000KM's on it....so the SRX will be born again.
I question I do have is, with the notched lugs that you can see in the pics, will that eliminate the "let the lugs rub" factor??
I am planning on using stock drivers, and I was informed the 1.25 ripsaw may rub for a bit on the front cooler covers, but that is why those lugs are notched, right?

I might be missing something, but I cannot see where the lugs are notched. In most cases, the lugs will rub on the heat exchange protectors. If you are not planning on studding the track, this can be eliminated by taking the protectors out.
They will rub on the fingers just inside the driver openings. You can remove the protectors if not studding, or take a pair of end snips and snip down the fingers that rub. This will not hurt the track.

so if I went with 8 tooth drivers, then i wouldn't need to remove the protectors?
does the 8 tooth just bolt right in?

its very easy to remove the protectors. people dont go to 8 tooth unless they absolutely have to for instance like long tracking their sled with a 2 inch lug. The diameter of the 8 tooth driver is smaller and will cost you more rolling friction and why spend the money when you dont have to. just grind off the protectors

ya, I am just weiry about removing stuff....I mean, if they're just there to protect from studs, then no issue, as I have never used studs, nor will I
Isn't it just like 2-3 rivets to remove the protectors?

If you are not planning on studding the track, you have no worries taking off the heat exchange protectors. I believe they are 4 rivelts per protector so a total of 8. There are two rivets on each protector on the bottom that can be taken out easily. Then there are two pretty high up inside the tunnel that must be taken out. Once this is done, you will have no problems and that track will fit perfect.
