welll before you start make sure that the coolent that you have bought is aluminum friendly after you make sure it is remove the coolent cap and start adding untill coolent container is full then go to the bleed screw and open it( bleed screws are on the top of the tunnel on a srx. idk for sxr.) then bleed the system untill all air is out of the lines. tighten all screws and things should be done... ANYONE CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG.
Ok I didn't bought yet......any specific brand you guys now.....? And what would be the right mixture coolant/water.
Thanks

i use 50/50 in all the stuff around here. lawnmower, cars, sleds. i'm sure you could go more water in there to get better cooling, but thats what i use.

Follow the directions for mixing the anti-freeze that you buy. The freezing point actually drops with most anti-freeze if it's over mixed. (If you use too much water). You can buy a cheap meter (around $5.00) that measures the freezing point of mixed anti-freeze; you can get the meters at most auto parts stores or even Wal-mart.
You may also have a bleed screw on the thermostat housing. Sometimes you also need to lift the rear of the sled up a foot to help bleed the air out. There should be an article in the tech section on cooling system bleeding.

Ya, I mix it 50/50 for everything and no problems yet.

its all aluminum safe these days. you can get premixed pretty easy too.
