I did a thread search and came up with nothing on this, but remember reading something.
Sorry if I am being redundant, but what is the best chemical to soak these buggers in so I don't have to do the manual labour scrub with a piece of wood?

I use carb dip let the valves sit in it over nite an any deposits will just wipe off.
you can get this at most auto parts stores in a one or five gallon can.
Its not cheep but it works great. It also eliminates any need for abrasives or scraping so you wont do any damage to the valves.
