I am done with the bumper I just have to bolt it on. here are some pictures of both bumpers. It is about the same weight because i removed the metal bumper supports that are on the inside of the srx and replaced them with some aluminum ones from a viper. I am making the viper supports even lighter than stock. li

It won't give when you hit something. All of the energy is going to be transfered to the supports. Of course that is only if you hit something. The supports do give along with the front hoop though. Unfortunately I know way too much about this.

ok i weighed the new bumper and new support brackets tonight. compared to the old bumper and brackets. the new stuff weighs 6 ounces more than stock. not to bad for an all aluminumn bumper.

i have about 6 hours total in making this bumper. this is the first one and is always harder the first time. if you want one we can go over the details by e mail. this bumper is 1 1/4 lbs heavier than stock . i made it big to make sure it'l hold up. it is not for looks you can pick the front end right up. I am going to make another one for my other sled only this one will be smaller.the stock bumper weights 1.888 lbs. and my new one weighs 3.012.
