Pull them and inspect them. Make sure they are intact and creating a good seal against the reed cage. Most common cause for reed damage is engine backfiring. But once you look at them it will be obvious if they need replacing. Once you remove air box and the entire carb rack, you will have access to the reed valves. The valve body is bolted to the clylinder with four 10mm bolts, one in each corner. There are 3 reed valves, one for each cylinder. You may need some permatex or gasket maker (make sure you get high temp) when you reassemble as sometimes the metal reed cages seperate from the rubber boots that go to the carbs. Hope this helps

I changed from stock to Lookinh for an 01 SRX hood in good shape, emaial me with any info. Thanx. V force three not sure about power but throttle response is better.

dont know what happened there but V froce 3`s give better t response.

Vforce 3's don't do much for stock Yamaha's because the stock reeds are so good. Modified motor's is where some benefits can been seen if matched well.
