I got a 2001 srx i just got the Thundershift kit HH's i was wondering if there is any good set ups out there that any one knows. I do about 1/3 trails and 2/3 lake running. Would like to know what kinda springs to use too.

Use heavy hitter yamaha spring they have it is the only one that will give you the engagement you need. start with second heaviest bolt in the outer tip hole with one washer and try red secondary spring with stait 45 deg cam this should get you close if you need more engagement you'll have to notch weights because shims don't work well with hh's

I use these on my race sled please feel free to ask questions

I was just going to say find someone who really knows their stuff and has done lots of testing with the HH's. But then came the above post, it looks like Joey Strub is just that person.

On the other hand you could simply beat your head against the wall like some of us less knowledgeable folks have done trying to tune these weights.

I advise paying close attention to what he has to say, and take good notes.

Joey are you referring to the HH Black spring that is a 150/300 I believe?

Ever try the HH's with a roller secondary?

Hh

The HH ers worked good with GWG spring 7/16 in middle with 1 G washer and 3/8 bolt on outter with 1 G washer on the outter hole, But 8BU/10 with 4.5 rivett in outter hole great top end and fun in the trail.

Yes I actually use a hyper-lite secondary , yes I know they are not the easiest to get but all other business issues aside they do work extremely well I use one with a cutler blue spring and straight 47 deg cam but my engine my engine may (most likely) not be the same as the norm.
