They are not fun to do, make sure you have the right tool for the job. i had to do it a couple of times and it just sucked.

I am sure if you asked you can find someone that may lone you a tool to do it. I needed to borrow a clutch alignment tool and someone let me use theres. He shipped it to me and when I shipped it back I reimbursed him for shipping and threw some Amsoil chaincase oil and Amsoil water resistant grease.

My local dealer here in michigan rents them, like $10 a day. Make sure you get the right tool for the clips that you have, and yes it is a pain is the a$$.

track clips
If you have to replace more than half of the clips you may want to consider looking for a low miles take off track. With the cost of clips and amount of time and labor to replace it is probably a lower cost option.

Getting the tool is a must. You might be able to do a few without but if you want the crimp right the tool is great. My Father has one that works well after it had a new die machined for it. That is why I purchased a new track. I can't stand doing clips. Even with air tools it is a PIA job.
Die grinder/cut off wheel gets the worn ones off in a hurry.
Someone I know replaces 1/3 his studs and any clip that is suspect before every season. Seems like overkill to me.

Sure will be easier to replace them with the track out of the sled.
By the way that was one very hard to read reply with all the spelling issues.
