sx 700 temp light

has any one experienced this? on my 97 sx 700 as soon as i fire it up the temp light will flash on and off it will not stay on but it will intermit. go on and off coolant level looks fine, no visible leaks, strange. temp sensor going bad would be my first thought. the motor is still cold and the light comes on and off. i am thinking of changing the sensor .

you want to check the wiring harness for rub through.
It will generally rub under the motor. if you do a search for wiring harness you will find alot of info and pictures.

just started to do this over the summer fired it up today and it is the first time it has not done this in 6 months
