01&02SRX

I own an 01 and 02 srx everyone says the 02 should be faster because it is running on the edge with dcs. However a friend and I both with 02 were in caribou, maine last year and the dcs kept retarding us so much we could barely ride my o1 us also much faster could it have been bad gas or please help with any suggestions Thanks

1) Check your carbs. If not ok, clean
if ok, jet up one size
2) Verify that the knock sensor is in perfect working condition (pocket tester)
3) Run 91 octane.
What range does it light up? low, mid or top?
I think top is most common.
If it is interresting to hear:
I've played all winter with a tempaflow and it would come on often, but if you are jetted alittle on the fat side, it won't go off. That's my experience anyway. Just feel free to ask if you have any more questions, I've researched the thing some.
