98 700 tripple #1 cyclinder.
I am tring to get the carbs back together. I was reading that the jetting is different from 97-99 and 00-01 machines. I just want to get the right order so I do not have a melt down this year.

#1 cylinder I believe is the PTO cylinder (closest to the clutch)

yup the pto is number one, and on the 6 and 7 hundred red-head engines, the pto cylinder gets one size richer jetting in most configurations.

Thats what I did and I dropped the needles to the 2 position.
You know how it is making sure your ride is done right for the snow
I guess I am going to set up both my 700 the same.
My sled ran great last year so I am going to
use the 2nd position with the jets at 141.3 143.8 143.8
on my sons sled as well.
