I bought the sled used and the previous owner put a 1 1/4 track on it. It's almost like a mt. track but looks like it will work good in the powder. I want to stud it but it looks like the track is rubbing against the tunnel protectors as it is. Where i saw the rubber hitting the tunnel protectors, i took the grinder too and trimmed it down a little. The dealer said not to stud it because i would hit the front heat exchanger. What can i do? I really need studs because i do a lot of running on the lake. I really like the track and would rather not change it until i have to! Thanks

Track
You must install 8 tooth drivers in the front,That will give you the clearance
you need. You can also change the height of the rear tunnel protectors to
make them lower,it won't hurt if the track hits the lowered protectors at times, just as long as the studs don't hit the rear cooler pipe or rear heat exchanger if you have one.

Thats it, i should probably put some protectors on the front heat exchanger right? It wont rup on the top of the tunnel or will the protectors keep that ok? I should tighten up the track to if i put the 8 tooth in 2 right?
you should already have front protectors installed (unless they were removed by the previous owner). They came factory installed in 02.

I think you have to remove the front procters to get the 1 1/4 inch track in .
I had to take them out on my 03 to get it to clear . It's ok I guess if you don't run studs .
