i have a pair of skis off of an 2006 Attak and was told that they were a direct bolt-on for my viper, but there seems to be too much play in the mounting. Do I need to drill out the hole on the skis and use the original 02 viper hardware? I installed the skis with the Attak bolts and not the viper bolts. The viper bolts do not fit through the attak skis.

I bought a pair of 2006 Attack skis too, I installed them on my 2000 Venture the was a fair amount of play so I shimmed them, seems to be better..We will see when the snow flies!!

i would think you need it to be tight, a little bit of slop turns into oval holes later on.

thats weird! i know they fit on my 02 viper. last year in muni i swapped the skis between the viper and attak for some off trail riding and they fit the same. maybe the bushing in the spindle is different?

Did you use the hardware from the viper? I think I need to use the center bushing only. The outside bushings used with the viper skis will not work with the attak skis.

You need to get the whole mounting kit. It is a new center spacer, and some smaller spacers. Call Kevin at Port Yamaha. he can get them for you. Maxdlx

i used all the attak hardware with the attak skis on the viper. im not sure if the stock viper hardware is different, i ran 05 mountain skis on the viper.
