I'm thinking about add handlebar hooks on my viper, both. What brand did you buy, did they rob heat from the hand warmers? Any pictures with the stock handle bars shaved with the hooks on the end?
If you have a setup for sale?

I have the yamaha 45/90 and love them. No picks, and I didn't notice any differencein hand warmers. Maxdlx
Thanks maxdlx.
What did everyone else get the 45, 90, or 45/90 combo?

i like the 45 and 45 of polaris. I like them because they match the daimeter of the bar better than the arctic cat ones. havent tried any other but one vote of the polaris 45's

I've got a 45 on the brake side of my Polaris. No hook on the throttle side. I don't care for the throttle side hooks as I never used them on my SRX. I had 90 on each side of my SRX and thought it was overkill, wish I would've went with 45*. Never noticed a difference in handwarmers. Don't remember what brand mine were. The hook on my Polaris is OEM.

I wouldn't have one on my throttle side, but I have a lefty throttle, so it works. Maxdlx
I have two 45's on my viper with the long arctic cat grips covering it all up...

Just curious, but you guys don't lean on your throttle side? I have the alum. bar ends on both sides, not hooks, and I love them. Found they come in handy all the time. Hooks would just be better. I found that the 45's are more comfortable on the sleds I've tried.

I have a 45/90 I ordered from port. I had one on each side but found the one on throttle side was useless.

Here's my hooks, the diameter doesn't quite match the bars, but it works.
Thanks sheomet, thats what I was looking for. Who makes your hooks and are they plastic with rubber over them?
Thanks
Thanks
The grips look great. Did you add the articat grips or just the rubber part?

I know this is off the subject but how do you like the Dalton 53/43 helix and green spring set up on your Viper? I am thinking about doing the same to my 04 Viper S.viper7mi said:I'm thinking about add handlebar hooks on my viper, both. What brand did you buy, did they rob heat from the hand warmers? I like the 53/43 with green spring at a 60 wrap, everything else is stock. It givethe sled a bit extra SNAP in the trail with no loss to power throughout for me. I still have great gas milage.

Thanks for the response I am going to go for the Dalton 53/43 and green 60 spring. I also have the engine torque limiter I am going to install as well. Go Viper!!viper7mi said:I like the 53/43 with green spring at a 60 wrap, everything else is stock. It givethe sled a bit extra SNAP in the trail with no loss to power throughout for me. I did not have to add anything else, no rivets. Check your revs and email turk or another well respected person to dial the sled in. Good luck. I can not wait for snow.

I removed the stock yamaha grips, installed the 45* hooks and then installed a new set of Arctic Cat F6 Grips. THe AC grips are much smaller(thinner) than the yamaha grips.
