how high can I go without changing the throttle cable? I am tring to go about 6.5 inches. Will I have to change the throttle cable & the brake cable?

yes you wil have to change the throttle cable, oil cable, and brake line to go that high. PM richierich, he can get you set up with all of it.

Not sure on the Mountain Max sleds, but for the flatlanders, about 2" higher than stock is the most you can get. My 3" riser was slightly too high for the stock cable, so I got the extender.

yep 2" is about all you can go without extending cables.
I used a 2" on my sled without problems 2000 SXR but could only go 1" on the 2003 Vmax.

I had a 2" on my 00 MM600 with lots more room. My friend has 4" on his 98 MM700 with no issues, but that is about all it could go before needing extensions.

i am at 5.25" now with the longer cables on my viper and i am pretty close to maxed out. I also had to do the electrical to go that high, might want to look at that.

Just got some 6" rox risers and cables and the cables had Yamaha Part #s on them . Oil cables for a 00 SRX and throttle cables for a 03 MntViper I will check them out soon to see if they are indeed longer then my 01 SXr cables
