hey all i hope this is the right section for posting mechanics stuff
well my problem was last week i tryed starting my srx 700 for the first time since june..it wouldent start ok..so i think the carbs are probably gummed up.so i take off the plugs ok theres spark on all 3. great thats ok next i pour gas into the cylinders..crank her up ok she starts until the gas is burned..so i take off the air box and look at the gass lines. wow we found our problem..air in the hoses. we we take it out..start the machine up she purrs to life great so i test all 3 carbs.. number 1 is working..i put my hand over the whole on carb and it wants to stall ok we know its working..number 2 same thing ..great.. then the 3rd one (next to clutch) is not working ..the hand over the whole doesent make a difference.. ok so we check if its firing..maybe the coil? nope the coil is good..so what might be the porblem? the carbs seem clean..might there be some invisible dust in the lines somewhere?or will i have to buy a new carb..all the floats are good. another question last year my machine was running poorly..maxing out at 130-140kms an hour...could it be possible i was only running on 2 cylinders.. or maybe my powervalves werent adjusted properly when i redid them?
well thanks for all the answers

check all the jets in the carbs, blow them clean with compressor air.. clean and adjust powervalves and then see if it works..

Take your carbs off, and the bowls and clean everything in there. Every hole should get carb cleaner and some compressed air. Had to do it a few times with my srx.
