Last year ran 165 mains with the carb vents plugged into the air box
A little rich and very poor MPG. Talked to hauck and he said unplug the vents and jet it down to 155 mains. anyone else unplugging the vents from the air box and if so how many jet sizes did you go down to compesate.

Its a 780 with all the mods and pipes.

I'd keep them plugged in and try 157.5 or even try bumping to a 160. Running 160s in my viper with triple pipes and extreme port work, nice brown plugs

780 jetting

Vent lines unplugged, gutted air box i ran 160 157.5 157.5 in mine. 155 was
on the edge in mine. I think it's the needles that drink the gas, but thats a
piped viper for ya. What kind of MPG are you getting? I was getting 5-6 it
sucked! I got so sick of it i put the single pipe back on.

Never really checked the MPG But the light would come on and all my buddies would have over a 1/2 tank left.

Only thing I cant pass is the gas station

What are you guys running for nozzels? CPR recommended SRX nozzels #6GM26 and stock needles#Q6. Mag side 4th clip 2 under ctr. and pto 4th 1 under. Mains mag. 156.3 and ctr. pto at 153.8. This is with bored carbs and gutted airbox. My range is about 100 to 105 miles and I'm damn near empty should be 9.5-10 mpg. Cluthing, gearing and track has alot to do with MPG and this is probably where we differ.
