Ya, looks alot like the TSS
Werent they using similar desgins in aviation at the time, like for landing gear, which was relatively the same desgin on that.

Very similar design to yamaha's TSS, both are undoubtedly derivatives of motorcycle fork technology.

I guess polaris bought out John Deere's snowmobile line ..... I wonder what happened to it?

Very interesting.... ! Too bad J.D. didn't continue with the Wildfire ! Patent 1983 Yamaha's T.S.S. was already out for 2+ years !

I had the first TSS Yamaha sled made being a 1980 SRV. It was charcoal metalic with blue reflective trim. Back then they used to advertise that the suspension was derived from fighter jet landing gear. If I remember right, they used to have ads showing the sleds sitting in front of a fighter jet.
