2002 Stock viper gears

22 x 38 - 68l

Stock it won't quite pull it on top except in perfect conditions. So down on top gear may or may not gain speed. Likely not. (21 x 38 - 68l)

Another jump down on top will make it take off better (if you have traction) (20 x 38 -68l)

If you can really get good traction and don't care about top end dropping even more can really make them jump.

Search, and came across this thread, so ....
I'm going to a 136 x 1.5 Intense. I was going to drop down 1 tooth to 21; will that be enough. I'm only trying to maintain the same pluck as stock at 121", but if I can use the same 68l chain for both 20 and 21 tooth upper, which gear will work best

I think with the 136 the 20 top would be best if you are buying a gear.
there are tons of options when gearing
68 link chain
22-38=1.73
21-38=1.81
20-38=1.90
21-39=1.86
I am running out west a 19-41=2.16 with a 68 link chain WOW
they claim the larger the radius the chain bends the better
