length of 2002 viper rear shock? yam gurus

I've got a 99 srx that came with rear ohlin shocks that measure 17 1/2" extented not on sled.i have a chance to pick up a pair of viper rear shocks.is their much more travel on these shocks compared to my ohlins?thanks
