i know how you start a tripple but i was wondering approx how many pull you guys normally do till it cough's the first time. now i not talking sitting over thew summer i mean week to week. i probably have to pull 10 to 12 times at full choke to get a hiccup. now i had it professionally serviced last year and it made no difference. the shop claimed jetting was correct. now when i have it apart for cleaning this year, myself what jetting should i see in there i run stock airbox and stinger exhaust no other mods done to the engine. i was told my jetting can stay stock even with the exaust cause srx run fat from stock is that true?
 

My 02 viper, day to day or week to week it starts 3rd pull half choke. This means a pretty hard pull though. I believe when I first bought the sled it took alot of pulls...but I've went through the whole sled so it seems to be fine now...I think you can have stock jetting with your stinger, have many freinds that have done this and no problems.
 
Mine takes 8 pulls in cold weather.. . Tried to start it mid summer.. no luck.. .

on a warm motor i dont think i need even a full pull. but cold holy C**P, all i do i swear and say why didn't they put a starter on this thing, i'll deal with the extra pounds.

same here, 4-5 pulls cold, then one easy one after it's warm. :letitsnow
 
I have just shy of 8,000 miles on my sled. Original everything inside and it is service usually every season. Never let me done yet, besides a few broken chance but thats just beating on it.
 
I run stock jetting in my srx 600 and I have a hauck silencer and I have not had any problems........my sled is the same way when it comes to starting: it takes me about 12-14 pulls if it has been sitting for a couple months, and if it has been sitting a week it still will take 5-8 pulls. Once it coughs though it only takes one more.
 
My 02 takes anywhere from 2-4 pulls in the winter depending on how often I ride, the wifes 98 takes 3-5 but it sees way less trail time then the 02. I start my sleds once a month in the summer and they take about 5-8 pulls at full choke to fire up.
 
in winter when my sled has been sitting putside in -20 dgree weather..takes 4-5 pulls and she starts. then 1 start when shes warm
 
haven't done my pre snow go over yet for this year. but last year i took it to a shop to find out if i was doing something wrong in my services. but i was the same after they were done with it. kinda sound like it's a little extreme but not too bad from what you guys are saying. and i have 8400mi on it was rering around 5000mi. planning to rering next fall or around 10,000mi whichever comes first and if this winter i anything like the last one next fall it is.
