Im thinking about raising my handlebars and I was wondering what you guys did? and how you like it? and what it looks like? I also would like to move them forward if it can be done? Thanks

I added a 2" powermadd riser and rotated them forward quite a bit. No troubles with wires or cables or anything. It's SUPER comfortable for me while standing up, but it's nothing you want to have while sitting down (it's like riding a chopper).

Over all, i love it, i don't really have any decent pictures of it, but i can get a few next time i'm up at the camp.

I have a 1" powermadd with a 3.5" Rox, plus Cr Hi Pro Taper bars. I had to buy new cables and oil line. I love the way they are, really ocmfy for standing, and not bad sitting down. Way better for off trail use!

I guess im not a stand up rider but I do like to move up to the tank when the trails get bumpy, and it gets hard to work the bars seating like that. Has anyone tried the piviot block that says that you can move the bars forward also. I guess I would like my bars about three inches forward with about a 2" rise. What would I need to make that work?
Thanks

I have the 2" powermadd block, better than stock but it's still not close to high enough (I'm 6'2"). I want to be able to stand up and not have to bend over to hold the bars, thinking about going with the 5" rox riser.

Have pivot adapter and 2'' block. Tried with 4'' block was to tall for me. Had to install longer brake hose. Got from mountain peformance is better then powermadds. Installed throttle cable ext., oil cable was ok, and rerouted parking brake cable. Have stock 00 srx bars.

Im in the process of putting a 4in fly riser and CR Double High Bars on with a Powermaxx 1in riser I already had. For a total of 5 inch of rise not includeing bars. Only probelm is when you go this much you have to extented all your wires that run to your bars, it diff. not hard just takes a like bit more time. Ill try to get some pics in a fews days. But with this set up it alot more comfortable compared to just the 1in riser I was running.

Not sure how much work you want to do, but firecat bars work nice, Since they are a straight bar a rox 5 inch riser only raises them a couple of inches over stock. Very comfy

ejcamro,
I really like that look, How much work was it to do that, and do you have more pic of your sled.
Thanks

More pics of that sled here http://www.totallyamaha.net/forums/showthread.php?t=26687&page=1&pp=10

The bars and riser are easy to put on, the only job really is the throttle side controls. They won't slide on past the built in hook on the throttle side of the f-cat bars, you have to cut the hook off and install an aftermarket 45 degree end after you slide the stock controls on. I sanded the new plastic hook down and slid the new grip over it and you can't tell it was ever cut, besides the slight different hook bend.

On a plus note is that firecat bars are only 34 bucks!! Pivoting rox riser is around 100 I think. You will also need longer oil, throttle, and brake line. Richie Rich can hook you up with everything you need.

I have a Firecat bar with a 6" riser on a pivot adapter.
Have not ride with it yet but it feels great.

Here is mine, 2" block, 6"pivot, pro taper bars. It is perfect for standing, i dont have to bend over at all. For sitting, its a bit high but the boss seat made a huge difference for that. In the second pic, you can see how much i moved the bars forward. I also had to chop the windshield to clear the bars. The last pic is with the boss seat and mountain strap added.

expertviper, thats what i had to do was all the electrical, i then used flx tube to tie all the wires together, like the new apex style.

Both my srx's have two inch risers. I tried and still have the three inch but it doesn't feel right. you can go up to three with purchasing cables.....I would just buy the 2 inch. It makes a huge difference on how the sled feels.
