Correct me if I am wrong guys. If I have a Hauck orange that is 55 preload and 135 total force. Than could I use a Yamaha GWG that also has 135 total force but a preload of 45 and get the same results but with not as high of an engagement?

yeap. You may get more belt slip at engagement, than with the orange. If you don't want the orange, let me know. Maxdlx

No, I want the orange at least for grass dragging. JUst wondering about in the snow. Maybe more track spin than I want?

how many studs are you using? I'm going to use the hauck orange with 192 chisel tooths...should be a good aid in acceleration having my engagment up that high..

whats your engagment at now??i'm using hauck orange 8ca weights with 3 shims, engages at 5400...I think if your stransfer rods are set right, you'd be fine..idk i'm gonna try it
Yes!
You are correct in your assumption about the engagement and shift. Good luck! I have used both of these springs quite a bit and I prefer the lower engagement of the GWG in most all conditions except for ideal traction situations which are pretty hard to come by.

I think I will get one and try it in the snow. I will stick to the Hauck orange in the grass though.
