Carbs
Your welcome...Go slow and do one carb at a time...I took pictures before and during and after as a means of reference…I'm not that familiar with the srx, but did my viper…I did not separate mine from the rack…I believe the srx are different, meaning that there is one carb with different size mains and needle. They compensated this with the head in the viper…Don’t mix things up… So what I do is take a one doz. egg crate and mark it p.t.o. at on end and mag at the other end and lay all my parts in the lower row of the crate…when I remove the fuel screw I turn all the way in till they seat lightly…I mean lightly and record how many turns in to seat and mark that on my top row above each parts of the carb I have taken apart…this way you know if it is off from factory settings and it is the starting point for reassembly…I use a good brand auto carb spray and soak everything well, then spray if all over again with break clean…this aids the drying process, then blow out everything lightly with air…let sit overnight and reassemble, synching, float adjust and reassemble…I use a ¼ inch drill bite to synch my carbs…You probably know by now that there was a bowl drain screw and when I was ready to put back the carbs I used a dental syringe and injected fuel into the bowls as this helped in starting the fuel flow & start up=less cranking…good luck and post back your results…Mike
