I was wondering if anybody knew what color the center skid spring is supposed to be and what rate in the long travel pro-action skid. My center spring is blue and seems pretty stiff and i think that may be the reason why i am having troubles get my 50/50 control rod gap.... thanks

rate depends on which model yamaha sled the skid is out of, as far as I know I have never seen a yamaha spring other then black, if its a blue one, most likely a maxx perf or pioneer performance long travel kit in the skid.

it the stock skid in a mountain srx which had the 11.5" long travel skid, Rear spring is black, front skid spring is blue.....

actually yamaha rates it a 11inch skid, Its rate was 4.5kg, 208mm installed length, center shock and the rear shock is 2.7-5.0, 372mm installed length. They make no mention as to spring color in the tech manual.
rear spring from a regualr srx, with them being a 5.5 rate center and a 2.8-4.8 rate rear spring.

I don't think that is a stock spring.

thanks for the replies guys, Well it almost seems a little stiff for my wieght. Even when i take almost all the preload off the center shock and take all the pre-load off the rear shock, i still have troubles getting my suspension set-up right(getting the right control rod gaps).
I just bought this sled, the spring looks like it has been on the sled for quite some time(coating is starting to flake off the spring). I will post some pics soon....

maxximum sold a blue center upgrade for xtc sleds the rate was 2.8, softer than what should be in there for a srx.....CP
