its easy, I think there is a pipe in there stock that you will have to take out and you will have to take the seat off and maybee the plastic bumper cover. Be sure to bleed the air out of the system when your done.

Rear heat exchanger install

As far as the rivets go, if you got them with the kit they are probally metric. In that case you will need a rivet gun that uses a metric head because the standard ones won't work. I solved this problem by buying american stainless steel rivets about the same size.

and make shure you drill the bleeder screw hole before you rivet the cooler in. bro did that one on his.

Pretty easy, You just need a standard rivet gun, no special "metric"river gun.

remove seat, drill out old rivets, remove cross tube, remove rear sheetmetal piece, install cooler, re-assemble. That is it in a nutshell. i just did this last weekend.

Yeah its not hard...You'll hafta cut the tunnel protectors aswell...and thoroughly bleed
the machine when complete...Having a buddy with a few beverages on hand is always nice...
Oh..and if yer studded...ya might wanna consider protectors down the road aswell...

good luck...

Rear heat exchanger install

When I got my rear exchanger kit from yamaha it had rivets that would not work in a standard rivet gun, which had 4 different size heads for the gun.
