I've got a lead on a 2001 SRX with 6000 miles. New track and studs. Completely stock. I'd rate condition to be a 7 out of 10. Looked it all over thoroughly. Everything looks good and clean. Owner said only problems was powervalves replaced last year. They were never cleaned. All he did was gass/oil and run it. Clean storage. Other than that all looks real nice. Asking $2900 Doesn't seem to want to budge much.

nah thats alright for mileage thos sleds in stock form or bullet proof we have srx's around here with original pistons at 25k kms....

I wouldn't worry about the mileage that much, if you are, just throw some brand new rings in there and hone it if necessary.
Does the price sound reasonable?
thats not a bad price, if you look you could find one with an m10 or expert for the same or a tiny bit more
been looking. Not much luck locally

I say $2900 is a little high with 6000 miles on it, but like said above, they are pretty bullitt proof. You can prooly find on with around half the miles for around that price to $3500, especially one that you would rate 7 out of 10.
Well, I'm basically considering buying an SRX on a whim. I had a '99 and an '02. Wish I never sold the '02. I'm looking to grab one cheap just to have to blast across the lake once and a while, not as a full time sled. $3000 - $3500 just puts me above a reasonable purchase for me since it is basically a whim. I offered $2500 tonight. He came back at $2700. Thing I really like is that "nothing" has been done to it. As I said "gassed, oiled and driven".
Got an 02 with 9500 miles only thing had to fix was w arms and power valves/cables. bought 07 apex gt but will never sell the srx best sled I have ever owned hope the apex is as good a sled as the srx

I have a better deal...was jimbo's sled a friend of mine is selling for 3000.00 he used it twice last year on the lake. He needs to sell it because he is being activated and is going to california for the winter.....sled has 3500 on it and its clean. its a 2001. Jimbo sold it to me last year and I sold it to my friend for what I paid for it. its clean has a hauck clutch kit #4 cold air kit.... it was covered for the winter in a overhang and then spent the summer in an enclosed trailer. Sled will be in pembroke nh this weekend...I'd buy it but I already have two.. send me a pm with a phone number....

Well, I drove 2 hours. He opened the garage door and I was dumbfounded. Red aftermarket trailoring arms. Red snowflap. Pealed off decals, chips all over the hood, rusted suspension, comet clutch, track was junk, ohlin decals with no ohlins. Thing was an absolute mess. I wouldn't have given the thing a 4 of 10. As far as I'm conserned, this guy was an absolute scumbag for misleading me so bad and making me travel so far.
I'll let you know what I find out.

Oh I know where here is a really clean legit one with 1900 miles it is a year 2000. There asking $3295. It is in ct. Maybe to far for u. let me know I can give ya the details. And also a sweet 01 in the ty classafides in ny.

Did he send you pictures before you went to see it? Pictures would've shown most of that, or at least the red being on the sled.
No photos. Had to trust the guy. I figured anyone that would rate somehting an 8, It would be in real good shape. I've learned.

oo is not bad id definitly rather have an 00 then an 02. Im all set with that dcs light. 00 came through jetted a lil lean if i rember right. Ive only had 2, 2001s
