I just picked up this Viper this past weekend and I noticed that all of the pic's of Vipers on this site seem not to have the opening in the hood like mine does.
Has everyone customized their hood to fill this gap or is mine just missing. I did not notice how it could be mounted if it is missing. If it is missing can someone tell me where I could get a replacement and describe or show pic's of how thiers was mounted.
Any help or feedback would appreciated.

i have never seen that on a viper before does it look like it has been cut out
Really, now you have me thinking? I have a 03 viper and I don't remember that cut out? Someone send a picture.
Sorry to say this but, the previous owner cut that out. It is not stock, check any 03 sled and it is not there.

I can't tell for sure but it looks like the indent, on the tub, on the R/h side (clutch side) looking from the front is cut out also. If that is the case, plug it or you will get snow on the clutch and belt like crazy (Not Good).
Also the hole in the hood should not be there and there is no good reason for it to be there. If you ever see a hood in good shape and cheap, replace yours.

Check to see if the screen and mounting clips are on the bottom of your belly pan,aslo check the hood for broken mounts,look at you other screens to see how it is held in place,I think they all mount the same way.Upon further review ya thats not stock.

you may want to block those off if you experience some belt slipping. those vents feed (especially the belly pan cut out) right onto/into the clutches and snow in there could cause slippage (don't cross the water!!!)

if that was me.. i'd cut all it out to match the other big screen THus you can get the exact same screen Just flip it and mount it on. Thats how i'd do it

the cut out on the clutch side bellypan is from factory they all have it so don't plug it

Thanks for the feedback. I will see if the dealer has something, I know Yamaha has a grill kit but not sure if this area is available in a grill or plate. If it was cut out man he did a good job. Sled is stored at a buddies right now I will go and take a few pic's of under the hood and post.
