I just did a buy it now on Ebay for a new reverse kit and new electric start kit for my wifes Viper. Problem is the kit numbers the seller listed don't match the numbers I found on Port Yamahas website. Electric kit Port Yam #8EK-8180-01-KT , Ebay # 8EK-W8180-00

Does anyone know why the different numbers and more importantly will these kits work on an 02 Viper? I haven't paid yet so I can still back out of the deal.

The 38T Hyvo reverse kits is: 8EK-W4759-10-00 REVERSE GEAR KIT
The 39T Hyvo reverse kits is: 8EN-W4759-00-00 REVERSE GEAR KIT
Can't help with the revese numbers.

I think when I bought my elec and reverse kits it had different numbers than I thought it would.. Maybe one is a KIT and one is a dealer add-on kit... You'd have to talk to a dealer and ask them!!! My kits DID FIT on my sled,,,but,,there was no reverse backup horn in my kit!!!
The back up horn is already supposed to be on every sled. Maxdlx
I bought the kit and the backup horn was missing... It plugs in by the left panel by your knee!!! It wasnt there!!!

is 8EK-W4759-10-00 on the ship ticket it is 8EK-W4759-10 and out of the Yamaha parts book it is 8EK-w4759-00-00 . This was for my 03 viper .
The electric start kit from the book is 8EK-W8180-00-KT . I can't put my fingers on the ship ticket for that one right this second but I think you should be alright .
