Bar risers

I know a lot has been written on this topic.
I just put a 5" Rox riser on My 01 MM 700
I had to put in a longer brake line
Route the oil cable over the air box
throttle cable is in the stock location.
Idle does not change while turning the ski's
Is this because it is a pivot riser.
By the way a 5" rise sure feels nice.
