Just installed updated viper shocks & transfer rod ext. on 00 SRX. Can pull straps all the way up & still have slack in strap. With short travel Didn't have slack when the were all the way out. Is this normal?

Hey dreamer what did you do on the front? I installed brkts off ebay only lifted 1''. With center shock preload all the way tight, looks like shock is using half its travel just with weight of sled on it. Maybe front sets to low?

Ft is stock I am waiting for my adjustable mounts to show up from hauk. I also picked up a set of ohlins for the ft. Actually now that u mention it mine may have been messed up becaue my transfer rods where holding my suspension down. I have them disconected now til my longer adjustable rods show up but I bet that will change my limiter adjustment. But I have heard to set up center really stiff, rear very loose and take it from there after riding. I think that is what im gona do with mine when the rest of my parts show up. I saw these brackets on ebay. but I figured for another 20 bucks u have a few more adjustment capabilitys 3 holes in the hauk I think. Is the guy on eabay's brackets only 1 hole?

Yes ones on ebay have only 1 hole. Didn't know hauck had mount for stock srx shocks. Only thought they had viper shocks to srx chassis. Let me know how they work.

I made out terrible with the hauck mounts. They dont really work with ohlins shocks ofcourse I called them and they have never run into it. Sucks maybe with alot of grinding u could get them to work but im not about to try then if it still dont work I bet I wont get my $ back. Im gona contact the guy on ebay and see if he knows if his will work with ohlins. Im sending these back to hauck. These will work fine with the stock shocks.

Sorry about your bad luck. I did see pioneer performance has 1'' ext. for ohlins if the ebay ones don't work out. But they were like $50.

Thanks, It is always my luck that no one else runs into this stuff except for me. does pioneer have a web site, do u know what it is if they do?

Thanks, Im gona give them a call during the week about the extensions and maybe I will have them put them on my shocks because I belive u need a special tool or something from what i have heard to hold the shock shaft, and at the same time just have them re do my shocks. I cant wait to get this finished Ive spent over a grand on ths thing in the last month and still not done.

They seem to fit on mine ok,but I don't have ohlins. Still haven't figured out why my strapes are loose. Looked at some vipers and the center shock on those had a lot more shock shaft showing then mine with just weight of sled on it. I don't know if I have to week of spring, front to low, or back to high. When you get brkts. can you measure front and rear bumper height on yours.
