I have an oppurtunity to buy an entire skid from an 03 rx1 but not sure if it will match up to my sled. I do realize that transfer rods and straps and such will need changed. anyone know the answer? mine is an 01 srx.

I'm sure it can be made to fit...HOWEVER, the '03 RX1 suspension is not really that much of an upgrade (from what I heard from '03 RX-1 shorty owners with the stock suspension) and might not be worth the trouble. Look for a used Ski-Doo SC-10 or a newer Arctic Cat suspension (and yes, I gag alittle everytime I say buy ANYTHING Arctic Cat), if you are on a budget. You can find those for $200-300 pretty easily. If you want to do it right, put in an Expert-X or an M-10 suspension to bring it to a WHOLE new level. You can find those used too, but they are a little harder to come by. My M-10 is BY FAR the best money I spent on my '01 SRX.

Here is a link for an M-10 on Ebay. Might be worthwhile looking into

Here is an Sc-10. Cheap, but looks like it may need some workk

I agree with NY, theres not enough difference between yours and the RX-1's to spend the money on. Unless yours is totally wore out and you were getting the RX's for next to nothing.
Ive replaced my 04 Viper S skid with a Cat skid(less then $250) and it made a world of difference in the ride and bump control.
