Anyone recommend a heat gun for removing decals?
Thanks.

Use a hair dryer. Works great & less chance of doing damage.

The hair dryer will work even on the factory decals? I have used one in the past to remove season trail passes and registrations, but not to remove the factory Yammie stuff.

yes, even on factory decals. i've used hair dryers on commercial decals on trucks before and they came off. hair dryer will work just fine and cheaper too.
Hair dryer is better than a heat gun. I melted the paint on my SX hood removing a last owners registration decal.
Just used the hair dryer on my Attak to remove the last owners decals - No problems.
If you use a heat gut you just have to be very carefull.

I agree, hairdryer is the way to go. Then buy some sticker remover, its the citrus kind to remove the sticker and alot of paper towels.

an angle grinder with a 24 grit flap disc will take decals off too.

A heat gun will be to HOT.
Hair dryer and Goo Gone. I just used this on 3" mailbox numbers that where on the sled for reg. numbers. I have used a heat gun with good results until you get it a little warm and put your thumb nail thruogh the paint.Did that on my Nytro

trust the panel of experts on this one! this is all i ever use is a hair dryer and rapid remover from rapid tac....and trust me i know it works.......been doing this sort of thing for quite a spell........
