hello everyone. i'm new to this site as i ride ski-doo ( for now). anyways, i am thinking about getting into racing a little am very interested in a srx700 and was wondering how the srx700 compares to the f7? there are not to many in this area ( a million f7's)but i have heard that they are very quick and very reliable. I love the look of them and nothing sounds better in my opinion. Anyways, I was wondering how they compare to the f7 in 1500ft, 660ft? I know its all about set up but give me your honest opinions. The srx is a fair bit less money than the f7 and i want to start in the 700 class. thanks in advance for your help.

Srx Vs F7

Tedmonster, The SRX will run well against the F7. Most here will tell you stock vs stock The F7 is quicker but the SRX will out run an F7 in long pull. I owned a 99 SRX and that was pretty much what I saw. I would go for a 2000 SRX that was the fastest stock! Good luck!

in 1500 ft i would say that an srx wouldn't have any problem with some small clutching.

660ft i think would be close and the f-7 would just take the srx as long as it's the 2000-2002 range. Wide open on a lake for pure top speed is no contest the SRX shines in that department.

I have a 2002 srx 780 192 studs 21/40 gears cluthced and my brother has a 2001 srx that is stock except for 21/40 gears and 192 studs Hauck clutch kit. Stock 700 or my 780 will beat a F7 even in 500 foot. I know cause we were just racing them today at a grass drag race. If the F7 has the hot ecu box for 500ft grass drag racing you can't beat the damn things. I know we have been beating our heads against the wall for 2 years now trying. I was running 8bu-00 weights. I think if I would have had my Heel Clickers that I ordered I could have maybe got the F7. Cause this same sled ran 1 mph slower last year at a radar run when I was running 40-10 Heel clickers. Just my 2 cents.
