Will a Viper seat fit on a 1998 SRX without modification?

Yup, the fuel tank is going to look a little weird though with the two bolts in it. The only other thing you are going to have to change is the wiring for the tail lights. Then adaptor was slightly different between the two seats. 2.2 pounds lighter but a loss of comfort IMO. Looks are definitely a plus though.

When I put a Viper seat on MM700 I removed the two screws from the gas tank and pushed a couple of black plastic auto door panels retainers into the holes to cover them up. It almost looks like a factory item.
the Viper seat is less comfortable, but looks better, maybe i'll stay with the stock seat

If at all possbile, get one of the later year viper seats, they addded more padding to them and they are about as soft as an srx seat. Not sure about weight savings but I imagine it should be close.
