Damn, I maybe the only one to appreciate these. I just chromed my stock ones. Do you know what the weight savings are? I can't remember how much the stockers weigh. Did you do all the custom work or did you get them off a Viper (not sure if they are direct bolt ups)? Like I said, looks good and I am always looking places to loose weight.
hey 2000 these are from a viper i had to drill new holes for the srx. also the mag side had to be altered a bit to lay flat on the cross bar support. the pto side had to bent flat at the top also and beat to death with a hammer to fit. also cut on the top and sides to look more like the stock ones. I am going to weigh them tommorow. there are alot lighter than the stock ones i also machined the holes my self. i did all of the work and polishing. i do like your chromed ones they look nice. i want to make a new support bar out of aluminum. just have to make time.

You two are getting me on the whole "aluminum weight savings and polish the s*** out of every conceivable piece" kick-now-if only I could make the time to do it all
Great work to both of you.

hey big man once you get it you just cant stop. if i can polish it or cut the weight i'll do it. I always say " WHAT LIES ON THIS TRACK IS A DISEASE THERE IS NO CURE FOR".

You come to the shop way to often if you are looking to not polish things. By the end of this year, we are hoping to get my sled down to 485 dry without a lightweight hood.
Amatosrx, you need to put these in to make up for the weight you added for that sweet bumper. That bumper must have added a full pound if not more.

If you really wanted to go light and cared about those 2 pounds or what ever it is, then you could do that but because I am not a mountain rider and I like opening my hood regularly, hood straps are not an option for me. These pieces that amatosrx made are also used for bellypan supports so it adds some strength in that area.

Nicely done, bout 7/8 of a pound right there. I didn't think that the stock ones weighed that much.
