Can the crank case seals be replaced without splitting the crankcase?
it doesn't look like it,but a few years ago a shop charged me for seals and the guy never popped the engine out.thanks

Yes, just pull them out from the ends, they are just pressed into place.

ya, you could get em out by prying them out but youd never get them installed CORRECTLY from the outside, they have asmall beaded lip on the outside that fits into the cranckcase and when the 2 case halves are tightend down this locks the seal in place.
