I am in the process of installing a MrViper ported top end on my '01 SRX700 and was looking at the base gasket and noticed the original one was an all metal gasket that measured about .30 mm thick. The new one I recieved in a new top end gasket set was about over double that .64 mm. Am I at concern, should I be looking at getting a base gasket that is more like the OE gasket? The kit I bought was made by Winderosa, if that makes any difference.

run a stock base gasket, you can reuse the stock one as they are metal, I just give em a dusting of copper kote gasket spray before assembly.

Hey Thanks, I'll do that. Wish me luck on the new top end. I cleaned everything up real nice and just can't wait to check it out when it's back together.

who did you buy it from?

Also, regarding your pm, your pm box is full so I cant reply, but save your money and stick to the stock ones, put that money into the clutching, youll get more out of it.

ahhh ok, I know who I did that motor for originally. Those were the first set of porting specs I used to use, I have a few small updates that can be done to those cylinders, the heads and pistons are still the same, did you get the wrist pins with the pistons?? If you send me the cylinders, I will update those to the current specs for free. All you have to do is pay the shipping. Its only a 1 day turn around in time.

Wow, that would be great. Yeah I got the wrist pins with them. Can I ask what is the importance in the wrist pin? If you wouldn't mind could you pm me more info, such as what is your shipping address, maybe a phone number ect... I cleaned my pm box some, I won't be "that guy" again.
