Hello, I want to extend the track on my Viper Mountain but am not sure how long I can go with the power it produces. I would like to go 159" but I am not sure. It is mainly stock with a Bender single pipe and can on it and that is all. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I helped a buddy stretch his to 151 last year. It has tons of get up and go and climbs like a champ. As soon as I get a longer trailer, my 700 red head will be going to 151 also. We are only riding between 3000-4000 ft. max though.

Stock except for a lightweight can and a set of simmons......

I never streched my Mtn Viper to 151" but I always thought it had plenty of power to handle the extra length. I dropped the top gear to 20 tooth on the 144" I really think you could go to 159" and mess with the gearing and have plenty of power to turn the track.
Good luck.
Good luck.

got an 03 with a bender pipe and can, put a 159 with anti rachets on it, went to the 20 42 gearing and it pulls just fine

I could handle a 159 no problem, but love the way I can cut through the trees now. Also my 159-166 buddies only want to do high marks in deep powder against me, never drag races. I don't know if a 159 would affect the trail manners much vrs the 151 which is pretty darn good, ANYONE KNOW adout this?
Installing a 151 vrs 159 is a lot cheaper.
