I HAVE AN 2002 VIPER AND IM LOOKING FOR THE BEST PLACE TO WIRE IN MY HELMET A HJC CL-14 I NEED A POSITVE AND A GROUND! THANKS FOR YOUR HELP :letitsnow

I am using the brake light switch lead under the handle bar pad for power and the top air box mounting bolt for a ground. I am also using the Ski Doo dash mounted heated shield jack.

I wired mine to the tail light and ran the wire through the rear compartment so the wire is always behind me. When not in use the wire is tucked in the rear compartment. I think it looks cleaner without wires hanging down from the bars. And while riding the wire is not flopping around my arms.

On my wifes vmax deluxe I hooked up to the tail light wiring under the seat and then ran the plug in wire under the seat to up between the front of the seat and the gas tank. When not in use it tucks under the flap on the front of the seat out of sight. This location alows you to run the cord from your helmet down inside your jacket and plug in out of the way.

I use the blue wire under the handle bar pad as a steady clean source and then ground to one of the steering post bolts. I let 4” of this lead hang out the break side when I reinstall the handle bar pad. Solder all joints and your good to go. This is for non E.R. type sleds…For battery type just go to the terminals of the battery…

another vote for taillight here.... My viper I wired it into the taillight circuit and run the cable out between the seat and tank and up inside my coat. On my SRX it was wired into the handlebars when I got it. I much prefer the cord down through my coat where I don't notice it at all as opposed to dangling around my arms and hands. Jeff
