Can someone just post the very basic steps to this job? I have the service manual, but people here always have the good shortcuts. Again, just the basics.

Just make sure the size with the dot is facing up towards the top of the piston and you can put them on by hand, start one side of the ring and press easily in one way around the piston and the ring will pop right into place

Before you install the rings on the pistons, check the gap of the rings in the cylinders. Be sure they are in spec, If they are too tight you will damage the cylinders, If they are too loose you will lose power.
