I saw some where online that Yamaha was replacing the rear suspention in the 02 and 03 vipers, becasue people where complaining about the ride.

"For $189.00 USD your dealer will replace all four shocks with four shiny new Kayabas shocks and springs. Installation is included in the price too!"

Has anybody done this, or heard of this, i talked to my dealer and they are going to try an ddo it for me.

yes it has been done by TONS of people on here, and for all you know it may have already been to yours, but if you dont know for sure go ahead and get it done and then you will have a completely new set of shocks with fresh oil and nitrogen charge. They really ride nice after the revalve.

Let me know if and how much they will charge you. Mine were never done, Would your dealer also do mine ?

I had this done too!

I had this done for free by my dealer under warranty. They sent the old shocks back and claimed them defective and put the new revalved ones in for me. Night and day difference in the ride. I'm a fairly light rider at 168 Ibs and I couldn't get the adjustment I needed with the firm shocks.

Yeah...now I'm curious on this aswell...I bought my machine used with only 200km on it...curious if I can changem for that amount...or is the deal dun?...

Good use for the stiff viper shocks.

I like the stiff viper shocks in my SRX700. So I bought another set from a local dealer and built a quad around them. I used a 583 Rotax I had to power it. 105 MPH Fun on the black ice.
Sorry for the Highjack

Talk to your dealer, it's done by the VIN. I bought mine used and had it done. I rode it once with the original shox, that was enough for me. Revalved ones make a huge difference. Dealer should fix you up no sweat. Remember this a $2k shock package. Theyre KYB alum. rebuildable. ;)!
