99 srx 700 pipes and porting

Looking for a set of pipes that will be good for a stock engine and still perform well when I get the engine ported next summer or maybe sooner. I still want the sled to be trailable. I know some companies have closed like Bender, Power Inc. Also any recommendations on who does a good job porting and fair on prices.

Gates,

keep the stock exhaust pipes on it and put the stock silencer back on it. You lose about 4HP with the bender silencer.

Send your heads, cylinders, and pistons in Mrviper700 (Don Pizor) he will get you every bit of another 15 HP for very very cheap, extremely reliable, and pump gas friendly.

Since you will take off your cylinders, not a bad idea to mike the pistons and buy new rings to keep it nice and fresh.

Please contact him for price info..... You wont be disappointed... He will port your cylinders, cut your heads, and do the piston mod. All you need to provide is a measurment of the squish for each cylinder with a piece of solder bent at a 90, placed in the spark plug hole at 3 or 9 o'clock and turn over the motor by hand on each cylinder. Very reliable and easy 15HP pump gas friendly guaranteed!!!!

the pipes have the manifolds and you can use the stock or any aftermarket silencer one pipe is dented for hood clearance i guess thats how i got them

yes they are i got them then decided to go bigbore with different pipes
