for those of you who have had to.....do the hood decals peel right off in one easy big piece or do they rip apart. also do they leave any adhesive behind?
thinking of changing hood decals and wondering how much of pain before i get started.

SRXDREAMER - Yeah they are the best Decal kit because you can move Them all over until You want them to stay, if you screw up, just add water!
I do alot of Model Planes, cars, hotrods Etc... Thats what kinda decals they use execpt smaller, Very easy..

Does the sticker off remove the goo left over From the original decal? I dont remember what I used to get that stuff off maybe I used brake cleaner and then probally soapy watter to remover any chemlicles that the brake cleancer left behind. U definitly dont want any remince of product left when u apply new decal other then soapy watter or the decal aplicator. Brake cleaner or other harsh chemicles could definitly cause the decal to not stick propperly if any of it is left behind.

LOL Ya, whoops I just read that sticker off is for removing the old ADHEASIVE and sticker. It helps if I read sometimes. If sticker off works as good as sticker on u will be all set.

I took all my decals off, Used hair dryer and worked perfect. As for the Adhesive left over, i was told to use WD40, work amazing. hood looks perfect.
The hair dryer method is a LOT BETTER IDEA than MY IDEA.. MY IDEA was to use a HEAT GUN from ACE HARDWARE.. It bubbled the paint and melted the hood and DESTROYED the hood!!!! needless to say,,, the heat gun was a BAD IDEA!!!!! I guess I was either HIGH or absent that day at school!!!! (probably high and not absent though) Gary Oles nosboy
3m makes an adhesive remover that works well on adhesive, It doesnt do anything to the sticker though.. I tried the 3m stuff before the heat gun...wanna buy a hood???? CHEEP?????
how about REAL CHEAP????

i just pulled a bunch of stickers off and I used Acetone to remove the glue, just poor on a rag and then rub the glue off pretty much comes off in one swipe, it wont damage the paint as long as you dont leave the rag sitting on the hood, also it evaps quick and cleans very well just put the sticker on right after.
Make sure to be in a well ventilated area and where gloves.
Gas would prob work too.
