Looking for opinions on an aftermarket exhause; am picking up a '93 Exciter II SX today-want some ideas on changing out the pipe.
I run Aaen pipes in two Phazer IIs already and have runa DG in the past as well.
Thanks.

The SX has a short Y pipe. Some made pipes just for the SX and short stock "Y". If you find a pipe made for the SX and not Exciter II, use the stock SX "Y" pipe. If you buy a Exciter II pipe you have to use a Exciter II "Y" with the pipe.
Aaen made about the same as stock @ 95hp.
All the rest, DG, Bender, PSI, RPC all made 100 hp.
PSI twins made the best at 103hp

I had a Reichards pipe on my 1988 Exciter and it ran away from my 1994 Vmax 600 especially on bottom end and both had stock engines. Later after the original Reichards pipe started cracking I purchased the newer Reichards Stealth pipe which had a little less noise but, then the two sleds ran side by side and would swap depending on which got the holeshot !
