just wondering if they are just for top end or if they give some good low-end,mid too?What's a good amount of starting weight to run in them for a piped viper? I read on here 4.5 in both holes..but wasn't sure if that was for a viper or srx..

YES,
they are good all the way around. you could even use the stock primary srx spring with about 4, 1mm shims 51/43 helix green secondary set at 70 and these weights rock!!!
But looks like you have a viper and ive heard alot of viper owners using a 53/43 helix

I'm going to use a 51/45 helix(which I already have) with a green secondary, gwg primary ..think thats alright?how about the rivet weight starting point?

I would start with what they are . Its easier to add weight than remove.. You might not like that helix with the 8DN-20 weights.
