the variable temp hand warmer don't work, can they be trouble shot? an repaired or do you just remove an replace it ? if it can be repaired where can I get the drawings SID :whine:

What's the sled? There are some general areas to look at that have been problem spots for some people like under the handlebar pad or along the bars where the wire ties are.Look for chafed wires in these spots.

You can narrow down which one is bad. If one is bad, neither one will work being they are hooked up in series. Pull your handlebar pad off, unplug both of them, then plug each one into the main line, individually. Each grip will have a male and female connector and the main line coming in has a male and female connector that you can plug each into. Once you find the one that doesnt get hot, replace it as it is probably bad.

Buy a service manual?? Although good advise, not very helpful advise. it defeats the purpose of the wealth of knowledge available to those on the site. Many members have been very helpful to me and vice versa for me to other members. Might as well just tell him to bring it to a sled mechanic or shop to have it fixed...

need to know the SLED! I think this was in another post! On the vamx there is a regulator above the right foot well! The controller is just a dial no wireing diagram there! there is a 4 wire plug in on the Vmax it is fed from the the main switch ( the ignition key) the regulator could be bad .
