my brother has a 99 polaris xcr 800, its piped and clutched, could i take him out with a 700 srx?

Traction he is going to kill you out of the whole if he knows anything about setting up a Polaris. The pro-action is a terrible Skid for transfore

This is always a great race as the XCR 800's put out 159 HP stock. I have taken several out before even at top end but they are not always easy. You MUST be clutched and jetted perfectly to beat him/

I've beaten every xcr i've raced so far with the mods i have listed below. all have been rolling starts but i've pulled past all of them no problem.

I beat a 2002 XCR 800 with pipes, and it ran awesome.....I had nothing done to my srx except transfer rods....Took him out on Top end.....Ran 122 mph GPS that day XCR only pulled off 107

Let me guess? He has the HTG pipes on it? I used to own a 2001 XCR. I'm guessing he also has HTG heads and the shim kit? Either way, they claim 180 hp with that kit. It is nowhere near that hp in reality though. Iantomasi racing in Bowmanville has dyno'd quite a few of them, and they are in the 160hp range with pipes and their head and shim kit. If his is setup properly, you should not be able to beat him with a stock motor SRX. If you are beating him, he's got work to do. If yours is ported, it'll be close, providing it is setup well. The SRX is a faster chassis than the XCR.

I have a friend with a stock srx and another with a 02 xcr minor clutching and the xcr always pulls away. There frickin fast and should be a good race clutch your srx and have fun and be safe.

well my brother keeps up to our friends piped and clutched thundercat, he tells me he can pull away hard from srx's, yamaha forever

we will see once ice is here

i see you know my cousin's up in bowmanville, the xcr i have comes stock with 159.2hp. so what was the hp gerry and flav where pulling out of a xcr with heads and pipes and shim kit?

i bought there iamtomasi's 2002 xcr 800. he took the heads off thought, but he is going to work the stock head as much as possible for me, and this sled is ported and has reeds spacer and i am thinking on putting pipes on it.

The XCR's respond quite well to porting. They can build an honest 180hp with trail porting, reworked heads, and pipes. If you are thinking about pipes, spend the money and have Jaws build them. HTG builds a nice product (they're building my 1200 motor for my SRX), but the Jaws pipes are simply better.

heres some more of my collection
